The target groups are Christians and Muslims. The course can be given only to Christians or only to Muslims, but the best is a mixed group of Christians and Muslims together. By talking to each other and helping each other to awaken the desire to become wise people.
Structure
The course covers topics like:
- Practical wisdom, everyday wisdom how do you get it?
- Wisdom, what does it consist of?
- Wisdom as a disposition in relationship with God.
- Use of wisdom by the world
- What does it mean concretely to be wise. How does wisdom work in everyday life: in the dealing with money, neighbors, self-control and own emotions?
- Wisdom in the Bible and the Quran
- Where can Muslims and Christians find each other?
- What does it also mean in our dealings with Muslims and Christians
- Does the wisdom of God as we find it in the Bible also apply to Muslims?
- What does it mean for Muslims to be wise.
This creates a conversation about wisdom. Together we will look at case studies and discuss how we can deal with the situation from an attitude of wisdom. Tools like these will grow your desire to become a wise people and to deepen your relationship with God.

Target group
This course about wisdom is being developed. This course of meant to encourage both Christians and Muslims to become wise people and to help each other in developing an attitude of wisdom and deepen one’s relationship with God.
The coursebook is written for Christians based of the Bible book of Proverbs. The book of Proverbs is not explicitly a Christian book and thus should not be offensive to Muslims. There are no references to the temple, sacrificial services or reconciliation. Wisdom is an important concept in both the Bible and the Quran. It’s foundation is the fear of God. My goal with this course is to use wisdom as a bridge between the two faiths.
