This course is being developed. This course aims to train a new generation bridge builders among Christians and Muslims. So as to stimulate dialogue from both sides between Christians and Muslims. Based on my 30 years of work experience as a bridge builder, the course deals with:
Structure
The course covers topics like:
- History of interfaith dialogue
- What is the underlying basis from the Bible and Quran
- Interreligious dialogue between Muslims and Christians
- Intra-religious dialogue between the different movements within Christians and Muslims
- Knowledge and understanding of each other's culture and beliefs
- What qualities should you have as a person
- What are the pitfalls?
- Dealing with conflicts
- How does dialogue relate to mission or dawa(h)?
The training can be held for members of the church or mosque. In addition, I hope to develop an academic version that can be used in Christian theological or Islamic educational institutions.
