There are also prejudices and negativity towards Muslims among young people. This course has the same concept as the 'Sharing Lives' course adults, only the working methods are adapted to the experiences of young people. The course consists of a ready-made package for youth leaders.

Structure

The package consists of a folder with guidelines for five meetings with assignments. The aim of this course is to improve the relationship between Muslims and Christian youth.

Each lesson contains a theme from the Bible and several activities. To allow young people to experience the life of Muslims closer, there are assignments such as:

Self-reflection: Discussing statements about Muslims and Islam using coins;
Discrimination experienced by: two sets of bingo cards with numbers that one group can never win (because these numbers are not mentioned). Or the assignment to a youth leader to be hospitable to the blue-eyed youth and treat the brown-eyed youth quite differently.
Getting acquainted: Reading the story of Jonah from the Bible and Quran, visiting a mosque, eat together and experience how to wear a headscarf.

The aim is to get the conversation started. To better understand Muslims.
